Decided !!

At this point after alot of thought I decided to take it all the way down to the frame. I spent many hours just pulling things apart. Got a big black marker and a big box of zip lock bags.

Started with the TUB removal. Man are there alot of bolts and stuff to take apart..

More work..

At this point I was neck deep in it. I went back and forth trying to decide how far I wanted to take the restoration. I found a jeep forum that had tons of info. http://www.jeepforum.com/ I got set up there and started asking dumb questions. I had no clue what I was getting myself into.

I meet a guy on the forums named Vince. He was a ton of help and was talking about all kinds of stuff. He had a 85 cj7 that he had owned for a few years and was doing some work on it as well.. One day he came by to help out..

We were going to do the Nutter Bypass. You cut a ton of wires and vacuum lines out.. Basically you get rid of all the emissions stuff..

Lost on what to do!!

Well at this point I had spent a few late nights on the net looking on forums and links. I was ready to get to work. At first I was just going to do a little work to it and get it up and running. Well after seeing all the good stuff out there and all the stuff you can do it was all over.. Next few times I worked on it I was just taking it apart.

Few Days Later

Well I drove her around for maybe 2 days and decided I wanted to do some work to her. I pulled the seats and all the carpet. Did a little sanding in the back to clen it up. At this point I was all over the board with thinking about what I wanted to do.

Day I drove it home

Well getting a late start on the blog. Here we go. I have wanted a jeep for a long time but never made it happen. So one day it was just time. I started looking all over for one and after a lot of looking and driving I found it. I drove out to Burleson to look at one it was a rusted out CJ7. No way I was going to pay what the guy was asking for it. So on the way home I saw this one. I stoped and called the guy and the price was right. This is a picture of it day the day I drove the it home. 2/16/08 Been almost a year.
